      <image:title>Notebook - What Earns a Place in My Home</image:title>
<image:caption>Over the years, I’ve become a lot more selective about what I bring into my home. Not because I don’t like things…I do…but because I’ve learned that liking something isn’t the same as wanting to live with it. Space is finite. Attention is finite. And every object asks something of you, whether quietly or loudly. What earns a place in my home now tends to share a few qualities. It’s useful, or at least honest about what it is (if it’s purely decorative). It doesn’t need constant adjustment or justification. It settles in without asking to be the center of attention.</image:caption>
